Tahoe roachin on her "new" bed. Pretty bandage little girl!!
This is Fate being a demon dog last night! I just got home from and awesome wedding and Mark was taking a pic of me, but Fate wanted in on the action :)
I just think this is hillarious!!! I woke up, Mark's foot is hangin off the bed, and Tahoe has pulled the blanket off of his side of the bed and tucked herself in. She's so smart :)
So Tahoe currently needs to be on a leash when she goes outside because of her leg bandages. She's healling very well!! So proud of her :)
She hadn't been outside for awhile and went over to the door, looked outside, looked at me, looked outside. I said the words you only say if you're willing to get up, "You have to go outside?" So of course she comes running over to me to congratulate me on reading her mind once again. (Sometimes it's like she praises me with a happy dance for figuring out what she wants instead of me praising her for behaving well....who's the Alpha again?)
So I put on her plastic boot cover, and her leash and we head outside. She runs (as much as I'll let her, which is not at all) down the ramp and immediately starts to sniff the ground. I think, hmm, that's not her usual spot. She must really have to go if she's not going to walk another 10 feet. Then she does a circle and plops herself down on the ground!!
That dirty little bitch tricked me into lounging outside!!! Then Fate came to the door, so I had to drop the leash, run up the ramp, let Fate out, close the door and grab the leash before Tahoe tried to go play with Fate. Well, Fate had the same idea anyway and layed down too. Luckily I had my phone with me so I talked to my sister and mom until Tahoe wanted to go back inside. Poor thing just wants to be outside :( She'll be able to stay out by herself over the next several weeks. She should be happy that I'm making her stay in the air conditioning right now...It was 93 and humid today! The funniest part is, this is the second time she's done this to me :)
I also took the foam topper that was on our bed (which was no longer helping us at all) and cut out two beds to fit into the bed covers that we had laying around. Tahoe went to lay down and do the typical fluffing of the bed, then she did a couple test steps on it and just flopped down. It was so funny to watch.
Fate's update of the day...she's a freak. Well, she's not a freak. She's a scardy cat!! One little rumble of thunder (that Tahoe didn't even flinch for) and she's all freaked out. Of course it hit right as I was getting up to kennel her anyway, but since she was already scared she didn't want to go into the kenenel. I got her in and covered it all up like a bird cage. She eventually calmed down and the storm stopped. She's decided for the second round of storms that the bathroom is nicer to hide in. She hasn't been out in three hours. Maybe we'll see her before bed LOL. Maybe not.
